A five pointed star can be found as a spacer, on the other side of the star the text value is given in Hindi एक पैसा (ek pa+i.s.e = one paise). On the bottom of the coin the mint mark can be found also.

The back of this 1 Pice coin features the Indian Coat of arms which was an Asoka lion pedestal between 2 arcs. The legend on the back of the coin featured the state name “GOVERNMENT OF INDIA”. This 1 Pice coin was 1.6mm thick.
